hi,
I have a requirement to provide a side-by-side comparison of the document. Object identifier in Column A, Current Document Object Text & Heading in Column B and Old Text(from a different baseline) in Column C. Assume that there is no deletions in the old module.
Is it possible to create a Layout DXL, to open a old module and fetch the object text and object heading based on the object identifier? i tried writing a layout DXL with referring to the old baseline module, it was crashing...

You may want to try the 'versionCompare.inc' from this post:

I was trying to execute the script that is provided, but both of them does not handle the OLE well. They are able to perform the textual comparision, but what I would like to view is like
Col. A ==> Object Identifier
Col. B ==> current Document Object text with OLE's
Col. C ==> Baselined Document Object text with OLE's - if possible with textual redline markings.
Not sure how to get the handle of the OLE's.
Any suggestions...pls.

I released the code for a working OLE comparison here:

Hope this helps, regards, Mathias
